It's not just the change in the light or temperature,
it's mostly the quiet that's noticeable this September.
Our college crew has headed off, but not before a final
surf for Nicholas. We were thrilled to have Jim
join us and just in time for the clam seed "plant out".
It's when we remove the seed clams from their summer
nursery trays and plant them into rows that we've raked
clean. then, we dig edges along the rows with an
old-fashioned wheel hoe and cover the rows with net
to protect the seed clams. We really appreciate
the team work! Thanks to Meg, Mike, Jim, Doug, Katie and
Savannah! ...and also to Katie for some of the pictures.
